History of Mahavir Jayanti
Lord Mahavira, also known as Vardhamana, was the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, born in the 6th century BCE in Bihar. He was born to queen Trishala and king Siddhartha on the 13th day of the bright half of the moon in Chaitra month.
Lord Mahavira was quite interested in meditation and at the age of 30, he took the spiritual path and left his throne to practice Jainism.
