Desert roses! The combination may sound a little weird but a teenaged boy has made this deadly combination possible with his hard work.

We all must have seen hanging fruits from a tree, but hanging rose flowers on a tree grown in desert soil is something surprising.

A teenaged boy Shubham Kumawat from Nimbahera grew this rose ‘tree’ around four to five years back. 

“We need to cut this tree for 2 to three times which helps it to attain height. Roses here can be seen in all seasons, however, in winters, they come with pleasant aroma. We offer these roses daily for prayers.”

This rose plant has a height of seven to eight feet which can never be seen in surrounding area, he says.

Jaipur Literature Festival 2022: Teamwork Arts reschedules it from March 5-14, 2022

The Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 has been re-scheduled from March 5 -14, 2022 with the on-ground programme from March 10-14 at Clarks Amber

Previously scheduled for the end of January, the Festival has
now been rescheduled to run between the 5th and14th March 2022.

The Festival will follow all Covid-19 protocols that will be mandated by the central and Rajasthan governments during the time of its rescheduled dates.
Sanjoy K. Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, who produce the Jaipur Literature Festival, said, “Keeping in mind the advent of the new variant and the sharp rise in the number of cases across the country, we have thought it best to reschedule the Festival and hold it in March, we remain committed to bring the Festival back to Jaipur as an on-ground, immersive experience, promoting dialogue, discussion and debate on books and ideas.”
The iconic annual Jaipur Literature Festival will be back this year at its cherished home – Jaipur – in a hybrid avatar with both its on-ground magnificence as well as its nifty virtual presence. The
hybrid version will enable a larger audience to access the Festival offerings, reaching out to book-
lovers across continents. There has never been a more powerful feast of literature, discourse & camaraderie than this Festival.

Registration and access to the Online Edition of the Festival is free and open to all. Registration to the On-ground Edition of the Festival will be available at INR 200 per day.

About Malaika Arora

Anushka Sharma three year long break is finally over, coming strong with Jhulan Goswami Biopic

Anushka Sharma is all set to make her comeback after a three year long break with the upcoming film Chakda Xpress. In the film, Anushka will portray the role of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami.

Chakda Xpress will mark the actor’s first project after the birth of her daughter Vamika. The film is expected to release soon on Netflix.

The biopic will be directed by Sushanta Das, it will trace Goswami’s journey from the Vivekananda Park nets in Kolkata to the Lord’s cricket ground in London.

Anushka shared the announcement video of the biopic based on Jhulan Goswami’s life. She took her Instagram and twitter handle to officially announce Chakda Xpress along with the teaser and attached a long note with it.

“It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket. At a time when Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was very tough for women to even think of playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several instances that shaped her life and also women’s cricket”. -The actor quoted.

Anushka further explained that how the movie will highlight the struggles that women’s cricket team had to face then.
She added, “From support systems, to facilities, to having a stable income from playing the game, to even having a future in cricket – very little propelled women of India to take up cricket as a profession”.

Anuskha further appreciated the efforts of Jhulan and her teammates in bringing attention to women’s cricket in India, she said ” We should all salute Jhulan and her teammates for revolutionizing women’s cricket in India.

She ended her note by saying that she he proud to hear Jhulan’s story and it is an honour for her to try bring her life to audience.

Jhulan Goswami is the former captain of India national women’s cricket and is regarded as one of the greatest women fast bowlers of all time and one of the fastest bowlers in the history of women’s cricket. Her story is truly an underdog story in the history of cricket in India and this biopic is an celebration of her spirit.

Anushka Sharma was last seen in the movie 2018 movie, Zero alongside Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, after that the lockdown period started due to covid-19 and Anushka got pregnant with Vamika and was on break since then.
