Advaita Exhibition: Nai Subah Foundation Celebrates Neurodiversity in Second Edition

Nai Subah Foundation, a pioneering youth led social startup dedicated to empowering neurodiverse individuals, is thrilled to announce its second annual physical art exhibition, “Advaita” on the occasion of World Autism Day.

Following the resounding success of last year’s exhibition, “Advaita” returns to showcase the exceptional talents of neurodiverse artists. The exhibition will take place from April 26th to April 28th, 2024, at ArtSastra Gallery, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi.

The second edition of “Advaita” aims to provide a platform to neurodiverse artists, whose unique perspectives and artistic expressions often remain underrepresented in mainstream society. Nai Subah Foundation, which works tirelessly to catalyse positive societal transformations, has identified art as a powerful medium for expression, empowerment, and self-actualization of the neurodiverse. After the sell-out exhibition in 2023, the exhibition this year will showcase the creativity of 26 neurodiverse artists, from the ages of 10 to 45, with over 100 artworks on display and sale over the three days.

Tarini Malhotra, Founder of Nai Subah Foundation, expressed her excitement for the upcoming event, stating, “After the tremendous success of last year’s exhibition, we are thrilled to announce the return of ‘Advaita.’ This year, we aim to further amplify the contribution of our neurodiverse artists to the arts. Trip to Temples adds new dimension to Adi Kailash, Om Parvat Pilgrimage


In a groundbreaking move for Hindu pilgrimage tourism, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) and Trip to Temples today launched India’s first-ever helicopter yatra for Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. This innovative initiative shatters limitations imposed by season and terrain, making these revered pilgrimage sites accessible to a wider range of devotees for more days in a year.

Previously, reaching these holy sites involved a challenging journey – either a long trek or a combination of car travel and walking, confined to a limited window between May and June or September and October. Today, 18 pilgrims embarked on the inaugural helicopter flight, signifying a new era of accessibility championed by Trip to Temples.

Nestled in the majestic Vyas Valley lies Adi Kailash, revered as the second abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Bordering India, Nepal and Tibet, Om Parvat is a natural wonder sculpted into a perfect “Om” symbol. Visible only from the Indian side, the closest vantage point was previously Nabhidang, 11 km from the Old Lipu Lekh Pass, demanding a daunting trek.

Trip to Temples, in collaboration with UTDB, has revolutionized the pilgrimage experience. Devotees can now embark on a one-day aerial darshan of both sites, returning the same day which is launched today. From April 15th, a five-day helicopter yatra will commence, with helicopters landing near the holy sites, minimizing walking distances and departing conveniently from Pithoragarh.

Vikas Mishra, CEO of Trip to Temples, expressed unwavering dedication to enhancing accessibility: “We are committed to partnering with the Uttarakhand government to make Hindu pilgrimage destinations more accessible in the region. Byasdev Rana (29), a participant from Odisha on the inaugural yatra, described the experience as awe-inspiring. Time and physical limitations had previously hindered his ability to connect with this vital aspect of his faith. Thanks to Trip to Temples and the Uttarakhand government’s initiative, he, like countless others, can finally have darshan of Adi Kailash and Om Parvat.

This upcoming winter yatra will be India’s first, offering a mesmerizing view of the snow-covered Vyas Valley, Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) will replace the strenuous trek from Jyolingkong and Nabhidang, ensuring a comfortable journey through the snowy landscape. The yatra will be open from April 15th to May 1st, 2024, and will resume in November, extending its reach until March.

Dr. K.M. Vasudevan Pillai campus, situated in semi urban region of New Panvel, Navi Mumbai has an effective recycling program. Their cafeteria is equipped with a vending machine which shreds plastic bottles into tiny scraps which are then taken away by the vendors who recycle them into micron fibres through the melt spinning method. These fibres are then used for manufacturing fabric which are used for making tee shirts, scarves, etc. The campus also has a nature club which collects plastic waste in and around the campus converting them into EcoBricks.

The institution has also adopted six villages under Panvel Municipal Corporation’s social enrichment program. The villages include Niwali, PaleBK, Ghoat, Nitalas, Valap, Vavanje where they have conducted tree plantation drives, water conservation programs and environment preservation awareness.

Often, they begin alone, start small and gradually grow to become employment generators, instead of seekers. Dadu Salgar is one such name that emerged on the entrepreneurial horizon of Maharashtra a few years ago. He is the founder of Salgar Amruttulya, a brand that doesn’t merely sell tea but redefines the tea experience with its exquisite taste.

Dadu’s journey commenced a few years ago. From being a nobody to becoming a top-notch businessperson with an extensive entrepreneurial expanse, Dadu is an example for everyone who dreams big and also those who wait for jobs to fall on their laps.

The tea business he is known for today isn’t his first venture. Dadu started with grape farming that yielded nothing but learning. With that experience, he reached Kolhapur to paint the picture of his destiny on a slightly broader canvas.

He started by working as a security guard and selling sweetcorn and sugarcane juice. The business worked and earned him some money. Next, he invested in the share market. However, that attempt to make wealth became futile. And if that wasn’t enough, the loss of the space to sell sugarcane juice proved another blow!

Additionally, he worked as an ATM guard in Pune, tried his hand at goat rearing, sold boiled sweet corn, nursery plants, wooden toys, etc., until finally, the breakthrough idea of selling tea (as an off-season business) occurred to him.

Dadu invested the time to learn and develop new skills. Accordingly, he developed a new flavor that he asked his friends, relatives, vendors, roadside people, etc., to try and feed him back with their suggestions. It took him around five months to develop the delightful taste that his brand delivers today.
