This holy expedition encompasses a journey to the four divine abodes of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, each holding profound significance in Hindu mythology. Pilgrims embark on this reverent voyage, traversing through the majestic Himalayas, seeking blessings and spiritual solace.

The Char Dham Yatra unfolds in a rhythmic progression, starting from the sacred Yamunotri, moving on to the revered Gangotri, continuing to the ethereal Kedarnath, and culminating at the divine Badrinath, following a clockwise trajectory. These high-altitude sanctuaries, nestled amidst nature’s grandeur, remain veiled in snow and solitude for approximately six months each year, opening their gates to devotees in the vibrant hues of summer, typically around April or May, and bidding farewell as winter’s embrace draws near, usually around October or November.

Booking Aerial Services and Essential Information

Pilgrims embarking on the Char Dham Yatra have the option to traverse the sacred path by road or take to the skies with helicopter services, offering a unique perspective of the majestic Himalayan landscape. To ensure a seamless experience and avoid fraudulent activities, Vinay Shankar Pandey, the Commissioner of Garhwal, advises pilgrims to book helicopter tickets exclusively through the official IRCTC website. This precautionary measure aims to safeguard devotees from falling victim to black market schemes surrounding helicopter services.

For those opting for aerial transport, the Civil Aviation Department is introducing a heli-transport service from Gauchar to Badrinath, offering a one-way fare of ₹3,970. However, it’s important to note that this fare does not include GST or the IRCTC convenience fee, which must be settled separately.

Enhanced Facilities and Helpline Assistance

This year, several enhancements have been implemented to enrich the pilgrimage experience. Upgraded parking facilities, with 20 designated areas accommodating 1,495 vehicles, aim to streamline traffic management. A dedicated mobile app will monitor parking, ensuring efficient utilization of space.

Additionally, to maintain cleanliness along the pilgrimage routes, 700 sanitation workers have been deployed. The introduction of four new high-tech modular restrooms and an equal number of mobile modular restrooms further augments facilities for pilgrims.

Airtel and TechGig Conclude 1st Edition of 'She Codes'

Airtel, a leading telecom services provider in India, recently concluded ‘SheCodes,’ an annual hackathon hosted in collaboration with TechGig, the country’s largest developer community. The campaign aimed at championing and elevating female talent within the tech industry, announcing the top winning students who, along with prizes, will get placement opportunities to work with India’s leading tech giant.

The coding competition, which ran from April 16th to May 2nd, 2024, aimed at recruiting young technical leaders in the Network and Digital domains of Airtel. A total of 4,104 registered participants took part in three rounds that tested their domain expertise, problem-solving abilities, and agility. Through a series of challenges, participants showcased their coding prowess and innovative thinking.

The grand finale, held on May 1st, 2024, at the Airtel head office in Gurugram, saw the top teams compete for the top prizes. Subsequently, finalists underwent interviews for potential positions at Airtel. The shortlisted candidates will join Airtel in July 2025.

The following winners were announced: Ananya Bansal, Sanya Mahajan, Vanshika Khurana, and Suhana Khandelwal as part of the team Network-X.

Sanjay Goyal, Business Head of TechGig, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Airtel represents a significant step towards empowering talented coders. Through this campaign, we aim to bridge the gender gap in the tech community and create a brighter future for Indian female talent.”

It is celebrated on 9th of May every year but in some regions it is also celebrated on 22nd of May. According to hindu calendar, Maharana Pratap was born on Tritiya, Jyeshtha, Shukla Paksha, 1597 Vikram Samvat.

History
Maharana Pratap was born in Rajasthan on May 9th, 1540. His dad was Maharana Udai Singh II, the king of Mewar. Pratap was the oldest of 25 sons, so he became the Crown Prince. When his dad passed away, Pratap became the king of Mewar.

He was a Hindu Rajput King from the Sisodiya clan. People in Rajasthan really respect him for his bravery.

Maharana Pratap is seen as a hero who fought for India’s freedom. In a big battle called Haldighati, he fought against Akbar, a famous Mughal Emperor. Even though he had to run away eventually, he fought so bravely that people praised him a lot. Every year on his birthday, which is in the Hindu month of Jyeshtha, people celebrate Maharana Pratap Jayanti.

In 1597, he got hurt badly while hunting and died at the age of 56. He’s remembered for fighting for his country, his people, and his honor till the end.

Significance
Maharana Pratap Jayanti is a special day to honor the brave warrior and his role in Rajasthan and India’s history. Even now, people find inspiration in his bravery, courage, and strength. His determination and care for his people are still celebrated.
