Against the backdrop of a crisp winter morning, the run commenced at the iconic Albert Hall with participants racing under the rising sun. The event brought together Veterans, Soldiers, NCC Cadets, Professional Runners, Para Athletes, Citizens, Specially Abled Children and Organ Transplant Survivors, inspiring all with their resolve and determination.

Addressing the gathering, Colonel Rathore lauded the participants for their dedication and underscored the significance of honouring the nation’s Veterans. The presence of brand ambassadors like Asian Marathon Champion Sunita Godara, Sangeet Bishnoi, and para-athlete Colonel Anuj Bindra further energised the participants.

The mega event included runs of 21 Km, 10 Km, 05 Km Timed Runs and 03 Km Non-Timed Run. Prizes up to Rs 30 lakh were distributed to the winners of various categories, promoting fitness encouraging participation and recognising exceptional performances.

The event concluded with jubilant celebrations, echoing the spirit of unity and respect for the Veterans. The Honour Run not only celebrated the sacrifices of the Armed Forces but also inspired citizens to embody the values of courage and resilience.

 The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Prabodhan Bloodbank, Nair Hospital, Sion Hospital, KEM Hospital, Wadia Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital Trust, and Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre. The camp, which commenced at 7 a.m. at Prabodhan Bloodbank, saw participation from volunteers and donors from diverse backgrounds, united by their desire to make a meaningful contribution.

The result is an image that portrays what Moraes described as a “strong and gentle face,” a description that mirrors the warmth and generosity for which Saint Nicholas was known. His broad facial structure and thick beard bear an uncanny resemblance to contemporary depictions of Santa Claus, making the connection between history and legend even more poignant.

Jos Luis Lira, a co-author of the project, emphasized Saint Nicholas’s enduring legacy. Known for his courage and conviction, he defied powerful Roman authorities to uphold his beliefs. Mumbai to get it’s first elevated forest walkway

Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra, is set to receive its first elevated forest walkway, offering visitors stunning and breathtaking views of the Arabian sea.


The 705 meters walkway connects the walkway’s entry and exit points will be situated at Siri Road, right behind Kamala Nehru Park, with the wooden deck merging harmoniously with the green landscape. This thoughtful design reflects a balance between urban development and environmental conservation.


Once completed, this will become an iconic tourist attraction, offering stunning views of Girgaum Chowpatty.
The tender for this project was awarded in 2021 for Rs 22 crore and civil works began in 2022 and it is expected to open in January 2025.
” One side of the trail overlooks a steep valley with a scenic seaside view, while the other side is adorned with lush flora, fauna, and unique trees,” said a BMC official.

The walkway is being built in Malabar Hill, and is inspired by Singapore’s popular elevated forest walkways. Made mainly of wood, with minimal concrete. The project is being developed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as an eco-friendly initiative.

The walkway is designed to be environmentally conscious and blend in with the natural surroundings. It Offers the views of the Arabian Sea, Girgaon Chowpatty and it will also have a birdwatching zone and a glass-bottom viewing deck. It is designed to allow wildlife to move freely and to maintain the natural water flow on the hill.
