On January 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch “Ganga Vilas,” the world’s longest luxury river cruise, from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to Dibrugarh in Assam.
In 50 days, the ship will travel 3200 miles and traverse through 27 river systems in Bangladesh and India. Thus, tourists will be able to see more than 50 significant architectural landmarks, including heritage sites.
80 guests can board the “Ganga Vilas” cruise, according to the official website. The ship, which has 18 cabins, was constructed with a distinctive style and a modern outlook. According to the website, this voyage will meander via several well-known locations along the Hooghly River in Kolkata and the Ganges River in Varanasi.
According to the schedule previously disclosed, the opulent river cruise ship would depart from Varanasi and arrive in Patna on the eighth day after sailing via Buxar, Ramnagar, and Ghazipur. Thus, the cruise would depart from Patna for Kolkata and arrive at the capital of West Bengal on day 20 after traveling through Farakka and Murshidabad. It will leave for Dhaka and cross into Bangladesh the next day. It will spend the following 15 days in the territorial seas. It will then sail via Sibsagar and return to India via Guwahati, eventually arriving at its destination of Dibrugarh.
