Not everyone can live a life like yours. If you wish to make it better you can always make aid in the society. A nonprofit organization, Mirha is running a sari donation drive that is a significant and ambitious project that seeks to empower rural women and promote sustainable living.
Thus SARI Drive was started by the nonprofit Mirha, which aims to solve major issues that women in these areas face while simultaneously promoting environmental awareness. SARI Drive hopes to create a more promising and just future for these areas by fusing its initiatives to empower women with those to advance sustainable lifestyles.
How to donate your Sari:
The SARI drive was organized on 21st July 2023. The last day of donating Sari is 27th July 2023. One can donate their sari by sending a message with the address to the provided number of the drive.
Some enthusiastic youth have started a saree collection and donation drive to help poor and needy women, especially those who are about to get married, by giving them sarees. Darsha Chaudhary, Nandini Gupta, and Omisha Sharma, who are running this project, said that in this drive started under Mirha, more than ten thousand women have been collected by going to different areas and from other resources and this campaign is still going on.
Darsha Chaudhary said, “Those women whose mind is filled by wearing a saree once/twice will get those sarees dry-cleaned and we will give them to the needy. Nandini Gupta said that the next phase of the drive will run from July 21 to July 27. Omisha Sharma urged all the affluent women to support this drive as much as possible.”
