In the heart of Delhi’s Central Vista, surrounded by the Parliament House, the Prime Minister’s residence, and major government offices, this new food counter offers a unique culinary experience. Now, visitors from across the globe coming to witness the iconic India Gate, along with parliamentarians, officials, and representatives from all over India, will have the chance to savor Rajasthani cuisine.

The Rajasthani food counter, located at Shop No. 8, south of India Gate, was inaugurated by Sushma Arora, Managing Director of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), and Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, Executive Director of RTDC, with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

Authentic Flavors on the Menu
Sushma Arora emphasized the RTDC’s dedication to introducing the true flavors of Rajasthan to the world. She stated, “Our aim is to offer an authentic taste of Rajasthan so that people can experience the richness of our cuisine.” Currently, a variety of popular Rajasthani dishes are being served, including Jodhpur’s famous Mirchi Bada, Pyaaz Kachori, Kota’s Hing Dal Kachori, Jaipuri Samosa, Rajwada Kofta, Pushkari Bread Pakoda, Mawa Kachori, Jaipuri Rajbhog, Gulab Jamun, Jodhpuri Milk Laddoo, Jaipuri Ghewar, Alwar Milk Cake, Motichoor Laddoo, Makhania Lassi, and Masala Chai.

Sushma Arora further added that this is just the beginning. In the coming months, the menu will expand to include the famous Rajasthani Thali, Dal Baati Churma, and many more traditional delicacies.

Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Executive Director of RTDC, highlighted the Corporation’s constant innovation in promoting Rajasthan’s cultural heritage. “RTDC has always undertaken new initiatives, be it the Midway concept or the world-renowned luxury train Palace on Wheels. This food counter is another step in our mission to introduce Rajasthani flavors to a global audience,” Shekhawat said. He reassured that the Corporation will maintain high-quality standards while serving Rajasthan’s most beloved dishes.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of numerous officials and employees from various Rajasthan departments, as well as members of the general public, making it a well-attended and successful event.
