Global Ayurveda Festival to showcase India’s ancient healing system in December

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: The fifth edition of the Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF 2023) will be held in the capital city of Kerala from December 1 to 5, with the aim of promoting Ayurveda as a holistic and sustainable health care system for the modern world.
The GAF 2023, organized by a consortium of Ayurveda fraternity with support from the Government of India and the Government of Kerala, will feature a series of events, including an international seminar, an exhibition, a trade fair, a public health outreach program, and a cultural festival.
The international seminar, with the theme of ‘Emerging Challenges in Healthcare and a Resurgent Ayurveda’, will bring together eminent scholars, practitioners, researchers, and policy makers from across the globe to discuss the latest developments and innovations in Ayurveda and its relevance for the contemporary health scenario.
The exhibition and trade fair will showcase the diversity and richness of Ayurveda products, services, and institutions, as well as the opportunities and challenges for the Ayurveda industry in the global market.
The public health outreach program will offer free Ayurveda consultations, treatments, and awareness campaigns to the local communities, especially the underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society.
The cultural festival will celebrate the heritage and wisdom of Ayurveda through various art forms, such as music, dance, drama, and literature.
The GAF 2023 is expected to attract over 10,000 delegates and visitors from more than 50 countries, making it one of the largest and most prestigious events in the field of Ayurveda.
The GAF 2023 is also a part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, as well as the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary Ayurveda physician and Padma Shri awardee, Dr. P.K. Warrier.
The GAF 2023 aims to create a platform for global networking and collaboration among the Ayurveda stakeholders, and to showcase the potential of Ayurveda in addressing the emerging health challenges of the 21st century.
