BARC B1201 was formally introduced by Dr. A. C. Sahayam, Head of Division, National Centre for Compositional Characterization of Materials, and Shri M.P. Mishra, Director (P&T), NALCO. On March 24, 2023, the launch took place at the NALCO Research & Technology Center in Bhubaneswar.
