It said that of the remaining blocks, 22 are “critical,” 20 are “semi-critical,” and 38 are “safe.” Due to salty groundwater in three blocks, they were excluded from the analysis.
Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Kota, Udaipur, and Bikaner are the seven citie. Most of the state’s overexploited blocks are in Jaipur (16), followed by Jodhpur (15), Nagaur (14), and Barmer (14). Nine of the “safe” blocks are in the Sriganganagar district; eight are in Hanumangarh; and six are split equally between Banswara and Nagaur. According to the state government, a draught bill has been created following the creation of a Ground Water Conservation and Management Authority for the state’s industrial units’ convenience and correct use of groundwater.
According to the administration, the draught law has been given to the Finance Department for approval and includes proposals from the Law Department.
