Rajasthan: 5 Ganesha temples which are thronged by devotees from world-across

It’s said, “Greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals. And as Indians, we do respect our diverse cultures and festivals. One of them is Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival that is celebrated in honor of lord Ganesha. 

Ganesha is known as the God of wealth, sciences, knowledge, wisdom and prosperity, and that’s why most Hindus remember him and seek his blessings before starting any important work. Everywhere in India, this festival is celebrated for 10 days in a year in mid-August to September. 

And the time is here, everyone is celebrating it in their own possible way.

  • GARH GANESH TEMPLE

Garh Ganesh Temple is an 18th-century temple of Lord Ganesh in the city of Jaipur. It is located on the hills near Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort. This ancient temple looks like a crown on the Aravalli hills and gives a beautiful view from above. It is situated in main city of Jaipur. Localities visit this temple on daily basis but for tourists, it’s a place they definitely should visit once. This temple is well worth a visit, but be warned it is a hard walk to the top. 365 steps! And some of those steps are very big. But once you reach, it’ll be worth it.

  • Moti doongri, Jaipur 

It is a historic temple located on the top of a small hill. Its architectural and exquisite art works attracts a lot of people to it. A lot of mythological images are engraved on the walls. It is basically called a place for all new beginnings as everyone who brings or does any new thing comes here and prays for the best.

  • SHWET SHRI SIDDHIVINAYAK MANDIR , JAIPUR

It is situated in Surajpole Bazaar and has 3 temples established together. That includes Radha-Krishna, Chitragupta and Ganesh. They are seen sitting together. This temple is called Shwet Siddhivinayak temple for a reason because it is of white marble stone, and it’s glory is unmatched to any other temple in the city.

  • TRINETRA TEMPLE, RANTHAMBORE

It is a very old temple and a very heart touching place for all devotees and visitors. It is located in Fort of Ranthambore about 12 kms from Sawai Madhopur. It is said to be the most eminent temple of Rajasthan. It is one of the popular pilgrimage places of Rajasthan. Everyone from different parts of India come here and seek blessings in the temple.

* BOHRA GANESH TEMPLE, UDAIPUR.

It is an old and famous temple of lord Ganesh, situated in Udaipur. It has a standing statue of Ganesh in the Center, and is visited by thousands of devotees every week. This temple earns the same respect in Udaipur as Moti Doongri in Jaipur. And on Ganesh Chaturthi, this place organises a special event on this auspicious day, the temple is open from midnight till early morning and it witnesses 2-2.5 lakh disciples visiting the temple on this wonderful day.

All these temples are being throned by masses in large numbers on occasion of Ganesha festival which shall conclude on Anand Chaturdeshi falling on 10th day from Ganesh Chaturthi.
