An online storefront for handloom and handmade goods has been established by the Ministry of Textiles of the Indian government. Through direct customer access and the elimination of middlemen, this project seeks to empower over 62 lakh weavers and craftsmen.
Thus, the Indiahandmade webpage was introduced in Gujarat by Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Textiles, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Commerce and Industry. The portal offers genuine handcrafted goods from India’s heart in an effort to close the gap between craftsmen and metropolitan Indians.
