Kashi Vishvanath Temple opens its treasury to help fight COVID pandemic

Kashi Vishvanath Temple situated in Kashi opened its treasury to help battle the COVID pandemic.

The temple trust called as the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust is serving patients by delivering oxygen, medicine and medical equipment to their respective homes.

The temple trust is using donation fund and offerings made by devotees for human service for the cause of human welfare.

As per Sunil Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, “The money offered to the Vishwanath temple is being spent for treating corona victims during the time of pandemic. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust will born the expenses of oxygen plants at certain places, will supply medicines, medical equipment and will get engaged in any other service when required,” he said.

The famous Jyotirlinga Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust is among the 12 Jyotirlingas of India situated in one of the oldest cities of the world, Kashi, which is now known as Varanasi.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous temple in Varanasi, also known as the Golden temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva. It was constructed in the year 1780 by the Maratha monarch, Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of the Indore.
